From Earth Is My Witness 2015 wall calendar by Art Wolfe

Peer through the lens of photographer Art Wolfe to track Bengal tigers while on elephant-back in the forests of India, marvel at the dreamscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano, navigate fjords in the icy oasis of South Georgia Island, and witness ancient tribal ceremonies that are disappearing in Ethiopia. These are among the many remote and awe-inspiring places viewers experience firsthand in the dynamic high-definition program Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe, which airs internationally. The program is produced by Edge of the Earth Productions, LLC, in association with Blue Moon Productions, Inc., and Oregon Public Broadcasting.

During the course of his 40-year career, Seattle-based photographer Art Wolfe has worked on every continent in hundreds of locations, producing more than one million photographic images and publishing more than 80 books. Arts’s stunning pictures interpret and record the world’s wildlife, landscapes, and native cultures, inspiring people to celebrate and protect these precious assets. By employing artistic and journalistic styles, he documents his subjects and educates the viewer. His unique approach to nature photography is based on his training and his love of the environment. His latest book is Earth Is My Witness.

The son of commercial artists in Seattle, Art graduated from the University of Washington with bachelor’s degrees in fine arts and art education. Art spends nearly nine months a year traveling. He is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, the North American Nature Photography Association, and the International League of Conservation Photographers. He is the proud recipient of the Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice Photographer of the Year Award, North American Nature Photography Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Photographic Society of America’s Progress Medal, an Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography, and numerous publishing awards. He donates work to environmental and educational groups every year and teaches intensive seminars.
