125,000 More Trees Planted — 875,000 and Growing

We Plant Trees - 875,000

During 2018, Amber Lotus Publishing funded the planting of another 125,000 trees. This brings the growing number to 875,000 trees planted since 2008. The trees planted in 2018 are about 52 times greater than the estimated 2,370 trees used to produce our 2018 product line (which includes our 2019 calendars). We have committed to planting an additional 125,000 trees in 2019.

We are honored to work with Trees for the Future to replenish the resources used in crafting our products. TREES is a non-profit agroforestry resource center that helps communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia restore tree cover to their lands. TREES has planted over 149 million trees since 1989.

What began as a simple strategy to offset the number of trees used to produce our products has morphed into a fundamental component of our ongoing mission to embrace the concepts of Right Livelihood and mindful living. As our president Lawson Day says, “We intend to continue planting as many trees as we can for as long as we can.”

Thank you for purchasing our calendars, greeting cards, coloring books, and journals. And for being a part of our mission.
